Fire Awareness Course

Our Fire Awareness Course has a duration of approximately three hours.

An employers obligation to their staff is:
• Fire Risk Assessment
• Fire Safety Policy
• Fire Procedures (such as evacuation)
• Staff Training
• Fire Drills 		         • Means of Escape
• Signs and Notices
• Emergency Lighting
• Fire Alarm
• Fire Extinguishers
The fire triangle
Our fire awareness course content:

• Most common causes of fire in the workplace
• The fire triangle
• Classification of fire and methods of extinction
• Correct procedures in the event of a Fire
• Recognition and application of fire extinguishers
• Practical session using fire extinguishers on live fires
• Home fire safety

 Delegates will operate fire extinguishers and extinguish controlled training fires.
Premises with a large number of occupants would require to have trained fire wardens who would oversee building evacuation, fire prevention, and carry out first aid fire fighting. It may also be necessary to nominate a fire safety officer for your premises.
